FixMyHome Pro is an independent directory of licensed, insured local home repair pros across the United States. We exist to solve a frustrating, expensive problem: it's surprisingly hard to find a trustworthy plumber, electrician, HVAC technician, or handyman in your neighborhood without rolling the dice on whichever name appears first in a search.
FixMyHome Pro was started by a small team of homeowners after a series of frustrating experiences hiring contractors. One of our founders paid $2,800 for a "complete" sewer-line repair that the next pro re-did for $400. Another hired a handyman who turned out to be working without a license and damaged the property doing a routine drywall patch. We figured if we were having these problems, millions of other homeowners were too.
Today FixMyHome Pro lists thousands of vetted local pros across 196 US cities, with verified state licensing, current liability insurance, and homeowner reviews collected after the job is complete. We don't take payment from contractors to rank them higher, we don't display "sponsored" listings disguised as organic results, and we don't share homeowner contact information beyond the small handful of pros each homeowner explicitly requests a quote from.
When you submit a quote request, we match you with up to three licensed local pros that handle your service category in your ZIP code. Those pros each contact you directly with a free, no-obligation quote. You decide which one (if any) to hire. We don't take a cut of the job, and we don't add a markup.
